Les premières notes et rencontres formatrices 

Co-fondateur du groupe Ahimsa avec qui il remporte le prix du concours de "jazz en 12", c est sa rencontre a cette époque avec le saxophoniste américain Chico Freeman qui le remarque pour ses talents de compositeur et qui  l'invite à New-York, ce qui débouchera sur la réalisation du CD "Ahimsa : rencontre avec Chico Freeman" et qui sera produit par ce dernier.
Durant cette période, ce sera de nombreux concerts et  premières parties d artistes tels que : Chet Baker , Johnny Griffin, Ray Baretto.....

The first formative notes and encounters

Co-founder of the group Ahimsa, with whom he won the “Jazz en 12” competition prize, it was during this period that he met American saxophonist Chico Freeman, who noticed his talents as a composer and invited him to New York. This led to the recording of the CD “Ahimsa: Rencontre avec Chico Freeman”, produced by Freeman himself.
During this time, he performed numerous concerts and opened for artists such as Chet Baker, Johnny Griffin, and Ray Barretto.

A partir des années 2000 , suite aux épreuves de la vie il se consacre d'avantage à l'enseignement et  à la composition à travers la guitare acoustique et l'apprentissage de la basse, et enregistre 2 CD : "L' éveil" et "Melting pot",en collaboration avec le violoniste et contrebassiste Jean Wellers ainsi que les percussionnistes Bijan et Keyvan Chemirani. Suivra  un CD en solo "Larrinaga" ainsi qu'un CD en duo avec le regrete bassiste Emmanuel Binet.

From the 2000s onward, following life’s challenges, he devoted himself more to teaching and composing through acoustic guitar and learning the bass, and recorded two CDs: ‘L’Éveil’ and ‘Melting Pot’, in collaboration with violinist and double bassist Jean Wellers, as well as percussionists Bijan and Keyvan Chemirani. This was followed by a solo CD, ‘Larrinaga’, and a duo CD with the late bassist Emmanuel Binet.

Le style de Pierre à été profondément marqué par des artistes comme Wes Montgomery, Paul Mac Candless , Keith Jarrett, Jeff Beck , Ralph Towner,  egberto Gismonti, john Abercrombie ,Carlos Santana et Philip Catherine.

Ces influences diverses contribuent à forger l'identité sonore  du trio.

Pierre’s style has been deeply influenced by artists such as Wes Montgomery, Paul McCandless, Keith Jarrett, Jeff Beck, Ralph Towner, Egberto Gismonti, John Abercrombie, Carlos Santana, and Philip Catherine.

These diverse influences contribute to shaping the trio’s sonic identity.

Aujourd'hui

Il travaille à son nouveau projet plus électrique avec le trio "Larrinaga "  et propose des compositions résolument tournées vers la mélodie qui tiendra toujours un rôle prépondérant dans son langage guitaristique. Une voix unique, un conteur d' histoires dans le monde de la guitare a découvrir .
